Scripture tells us, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God” (Colossians 3:16). Although many churches today are moving away from the traditional hymns that have been used for centuries, hymns often contain a richness and depth that we should not forget in our worship.
Together with reflections and prayers, use the music in this section in planning corporate worship, or as you answer God’s call in your own life to become a “cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). Better yet, see what Scripture says about money, giving and generosity.
